Blind archery .. They lost their sight but their vision was their eyes which guided them to hit the targets (Feature)

They hold the bow and shoot arrows they cannot see, hitting their targets as if they have eyes like a hawk's. Their insight alone is their intuition to achieve goals. They defy their difficulties to achieve themselves and to prove that they are capable, but in a different way.

Archery for the blind is one of the most difficult sports practiced in Egypt by people with disabilities. Even sighted archers find it challenging to hit their targets, so imagine the difficulty for someone who is blind and is required to hit the target with an arrow to win world championships.

For her part, Safaa Sami, a world champion in archery for the blind, said in statements to "sportify" : Initially, I wanted to play a sport for the blind. After that, I conducted research and found that archery for the blind is widely practiced outside of Egypt. I also found that this sport is trained at the Republican Guard Equestrian Club inside Egypt. When I entered the club, I found that the sport is practiced professionally and with meticulous training.

she added :  I found my blind colleagues practicing it with love and passion. I participated in the first world championship organized in England, and it was my first championship at the world level. The game has recently entered Egypt, and unfortunately, there are not many local championships organized within the country.

Hadeel Raslan, archery coach for the blind, said in statements to "sportify" : The difference between a blind player and a trained player is that the latter has a target, and his focus is on throwing the arrow at it, and he stands at an equal distance between the shoulder and the foot, while the blind player uses a holder that he touches the target point with his hands through it, and he also uses a limiter on which the player stands to regulate the distance between the feet.

she added :the role of the coach is to provide him with the tools and to introduce him to the parts of the bow, so that he can visualize its shape, and the training continues until the player is able to hit the target directly, and during the past period, agreements were made with the Blind Union to organize official tournaments more within Egypt.
