Here is the full interview.

First, tell us about the competition in the World Championship and how you managed to win it ?

I am happy to have won the gold medal in the Modern Pentathlon World Championships. The competition was very difficult, and it was a new challenge from the beginning of swimming to shooting, but I kept calm and followed my coach’s instructions. The secret was in mental and physical preparation. I studied the strengths and weaknesses of each of them, and relied on my speed in obstacles, swimming, running, and shooting accuracy, which gave me a clear advantage and allowed me to widen the gap in points with them.

How do you feel after winning and going up to the podium?

An indescribable feeling. The moment I stepped onto the platform and saw the Egyptian flag waving was the most beautiful moment of my life. I felt pride and responsibility, and I realized that all the hard work of the past years had not gone to waste. The truth is, I never imagined I would achieve this feat at such a young age. Winning four gold medals in one season is a dream for any athlete. Of course, I feel proud, but at the same time, this places a greater responsibility on me to continue at the same level. My father, Mohamed Abou Hashem, who is also my coach, is my biggest supporter. His presence means a lot to me. He was the first person I went to after the victory, as well as my teammates in the national team.

In your opinion, is modern pentathlon one of the most difficult sports in the world?

Of course, modern pentathlon is difficult and requires intense physical effort because it is a combination of 5 sports, but I enjoy practicing it. I don’t feel distressed or tired, but I know that I am practicing 5 different sports, which keeps me away from the boredom that may affect players in other sports. Actually, I love sports in general, but I prefer obstacle courses and shooting, and I excel at them very much.

What are your goals in sports for the upcoming period?

My next goal is to maintain my lvel and develop further, especially with the introduction of new challenges in upcoming tournaments. I also want to participate in the 2028 Los Angeles Olympics, which is my biggest goal. I plan to prepare step by step from now, with a long-term plan with the federation and the technical staff, so that I can get there in peak condition.

Who is your role model in sports?

My role models are the heroes I faced in tournaments, who proved that hard work makes miracles. On the Egyptian level, I consider my colleagues a source of inspiration for me, because we always support each otherM Awards saw Egyptian champion Farida Khalil.
